As a few companies push forward with new LEO offerings, the current major LEO players continue to add satellite resources and customer market share. Both the resiliency and capacity of these LEO networks will be tested going forward.
GEO and MEO are still relevant technologies in satellite communications. Discussions have started to look at a multi-satellite operational (GEO, MEO, LEO) capability to provide reliable communications. This will require both satellite operator cooperation and changes to Earth station and terminal equipment.
Q/V Earth station interest continues to expand as commercial systems come online. These stations provide increased capacity and require advanced hardware and software systems to maximize their capabilities.
With decades of RF ground station experience, Calian is well positioned to respond to these industry changes. The company can design and build antennas in any band and for any orbit, and we continue to grow.
The space segment of Calian now includes teams in communication ground systems, antennas, SATCOM products, software defined solutions as well as teleports. Their combined expertise makes them a powerhouse in providing products and services in these growing markets, and in developing new solutions to stay ahead of the industry.

Platform"
Calian’s Centralized Management Platform (CMP) provides a solid foundation for building network management systems for networks of any size. The CMP combines best-in-class, third-party and Calian-built components into a secure, scalable, extensible, cloud-native, microservice-based architecture that is ready for customization and integration into clients’ networks.
Calian’s Mon-A-Co Edge product is their flagship monitor and control product for satellite ground stations. Mon-A-Co Edge provides a fault-tolerant, performant and intuitive monitor-and-control solution to customers across six continents. Mon-A-Co Centro provides a turn-key solution to consolidated observability at network operations centers.
Centro connects out-of-the box with Edge systems and can be extended to incorporate data from other systems in the network to provide a complete observability solution. Calian’s network management software will help operators get the most out of their networks in the upcoming year.
